Barratt is crowned Housebuilder of the Year

<p>Barratt has been crowned large Housebuilder of the Year at the 2016 Housebuilder Awards at a packed ceremony in London.</p> <p>CALA won medium sized Housebuilder of the Year, while small Housebuilder of the Year was handed to Lioncourt Homes.</p> <p>The best housebuilder accolades were the culmination of a night of celebration hosted by actor and entertainer James Nesbitt, in which Crest Nicholson scooped the Sustainable housebuilder of the Year gong as well as Best refurbishment project for Electricity House in Bristol.</p> <p>The Housebuilder Awards are organised by Housebuilder magazine and supported by NHBC and HBF. They reward excellence across the housebuilding disciplines.</p> <p>Barratt London won the Best community initiative award and Barratt group picked up the new award for Best training or recruitment initiative, while David Wilson Homes with Studio Partington won Best design for three storeys or fewer for it’s the Chocolate Works in York.</p> <p>CALA was awarded the Best marketing initiative prize while</p> <p>A2Dominion won Best low or zero carbon initiative for Elmsbrook at NW Bicester.</p> <p>McCarthy &amp; Stone won two awards – Best retirement scheme and Best customer satisfaction initiative – while St Modwen Homes won Best regeneration initiative for Branston Leas at Burton upon Trent.</p> <p>Other …
