Barratt and Kier join the COINS 24 Peaks Challenge

The teams for the COINS 24 Peaks Challenge are taking shape as two more major contractors – Barratt and Kier – come on board. The Challenge takes place on June 8–9 in the Lake District where teams of between four and eight people will walk 24 peaks, all over 2,400 feet in 24 hours.<br> <br> Barratt Manchester is no<br> stranger to the COINS Challenge events and for the 24 Peaks Challenge it has assembled a team from across most departments within the company. Leading the team is Robert Paterson who says: "It's great to bring people together who don't normally interact on a day to day basis."<br> <br> Kier has also put together a team and has been a committed supporter of the COINS Foundation for many years. Team leader Mark Starling says: "In a recession, businesses have to work harder to find ways to compete – to go that extra mile and be the best. It's the same with the COINS 24 Peaks Challenge."<br> <br> The COINS 24 Peaks Challenge is raising funds for two COINS foundation projects: the Cookie Bar in the UK (pictured), and Kawama Secondary School in Zambia.<br> <br> www.coinschallengeevents.com
