Bargate md joins Future Homes Hub board

Mark White, md of Bargate, has been appointed to the Future Homes Hub’s board of directors, becoming the Hub’s SME representative.

White will become responsible for communicating the challenges that companies building less than 300 homes a year face in delivering to net zero.

For the past 12 months, White has chaired the Hub’s SME Liaison Group. This reviews specific challenges, identifies solutions, aids the government’s understanding of SME circumstances and helps communicate with smaller housebuilders.

The Future Homes Hub, established in October 2021, enables collaboration within the new homes sector to help realise the government’s legally binding net zero and wider environmental targets.

Its board provides strategic oversight and guidance, ensuring that the industry delivers high-quality, low-carbon, climate-resilient homes.

The board represents a cross-section of the sector, featuring senior leaders from government, industry, housing, finance, sustainability and innovation. It also plays a critical role in aligning the Hub’s work with government ambition, industry capability “and the urgent need to tackle climate change”.

White joins other board members who include:
