Ballymore to develop tallest residential tower

Ballymore has acquired the site next to Manchester’s Piccadilly station to develop Europe’s tallest residential tower. Construction will start in early 2008 on the 60- storey tower, designed by Woods Bagot Architects, along with two lower buildings. 430 residential units will be built in phase one, followed by a further 267 units and a luxury hotel along with retail and other uses. <br><br>Ballymore chairman Sean Mulryan said: “Ballymore places enormous emphasis on state of the art architecture and technical excellence in order to consistently develop our commercial, residential and mixed use properties to the highest standards. Designing and developing the tallest residential tower in Europe will further underline our position as a leading developer and trusted partner.”<br>
