Ballymore has acquired the site next to Manchester’s Piccadilly station to develop Europe’s tallest residential tower. Construction will start in early 2008 on the 60- storey tower, designed by Woods Bagot Architects, along with two lower buildings. 430 residential units will be built in phase one, followed by a further 267 units and a luxury hotel along with retail and other uses. <br><br>Ballymore chairman Sean Mulryan said: “Ballymore places enormous emphasis on state of the art architecture and technical excellence in order to consistently develop our commercial, residential and mixed use properties to the highest standards.
