Aster Group “yet to see full impact” of lockdown

<p><span>Aster Group completed 1,067 houses in the year to the end of March, slightly down on the previous year, with the housing association stating it is “too early” to forecast the impact of coronavirus on housing numbers for its current financial year.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>The housing association said it had achieved this level of housing output - investing more than £210 million - “despite development coming to a halt in the final weeks as building sites across the UK closed due to the impact of Covid-19”. The total compares to the 1,156 new homes of the previous year, on revenues of £212 million.</span></p> <p><span>Aster’s housing total for the year to March 2020 consisted of 955 affordable homes, with 524 for social and affordable rent and 431 for shared ownership.
