Approachme with big issues, says HCA's newboss

Andy Rose, the new ceo of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), has said that he is keen for housebuilders to approach him with the "big issues" of housebuilding so that "collectively we can do something".<br> <br> Speaking to Housebuilder, Rose said that he was eager to engage with the industry to ensure that homes and communities get built.<br> <br> But he stressed the importance of establishing the right dialogue to reach the goal: "The danger, in my experience, is that people will come to us with a list of complaints rather than proactive suggestions. I'd like engagement to be around well articulated challenges," he said.<br> <br> The new boss noted that "confidence was growing" in the housing market – a sentiment apparent at the HBF's AGM which he attended – fuelled in part by the positive response to the government's Help to Buy initiative.<br> <br> But he made clear that he offered no particular vision for best homes delivery. "Actually, it's quite the opposite.
