Anti-development nutters

<p>Local activists have threatened to “destroy Barratt and anyone who works with them” in a letter to the Home Builders Federation. Sent by campaign group Rebuild our School in Edwinstowe (ROSIE), the letter accused Barratt of destroying communities. It warned: “Every morning when you wake up, you had better think ‘is this the day ROSIE are coming for us?’” The grievance focuses on a Barratt development on the site of a former school in the Nottinghamshire village. So far there have been no reports of any attacks on Barratt or those that work with it. A Barratt spokesperson said: “This is a matter for the police.” </p> <p>ROSIE’s threat follows a worrying anti-development movement that is prepared to resort to intimidation and, in some cases, violence. Recently the Historic Buildings Liberation Front has threatened to target the property of new home buyers.</p>
