<p>Andy Hill, <span>founder and</span> ceo of the Hill Group, has been awarded an OBE in the 2023 New Year Honours list.</p> <p>Hill has received the accolade for services to affordable housing. The housebuilder said that over the past two decades it had become the “partner of choice” to many housing associations and local authorities throughout the south of England. The business has delivered a range of affordable and mixed tenure schemes.</p> <p>To mark the company’s 20<sup>th</sup> anniversary in 2019, Andy Hill launched Foundation 200, a £15 million charitable programme to donate 200 <span>purpose-built</span> homes to local authorities and homelessness charities. <span>With </span>Hill Group <span>securing </span>a 50% stake in offsite design and construction firm Volumetric Modular in 2020, <span>these homes</span> are designed for people who would otherwise be homeless.</p> <p>The programme was named Best community initiative at the Housebuilder 2022 Awards. The Hill Group was also crowned Medium housebuilder of the year.</p> <p>Andy Hill has grown the business to become the UK’s second largest private housebuilder, delivering more than <span>2,300 homes last year with revenue of more than £750 million.
