AGENDA - Experts line up at HBF conference

Shadow housing minster Grant Shapps, Homes and Communities Agency boss Sir Bob Kerslake and Michael Coogan, director general of the Council of Mortgage Lenders , head up a strong list of speakers at this year’s HBF Policy conference. The conference, entitled Building towards a brighter future, will be held at the Royal Society of Arts in London on Tuesday March 17. <br><br>The event is designed to bring delegates right up to date with the issues facing the industry, looking at the economy, the market, regulation, planning issues and more. Joining these three will be Christopher Hill of RBS Corporate Finance, who will look at the industry from a City perspective and Richard Donnell of Hometrack who will look ahead at the turbulent market. David Pretty will present the findings of the recently published Killian Pretty review of the planning application process while housing expert John Callcutt will give his views on the industry today. <br><br>Neil Jefferson, chief executive of the Zero Carbon Hub, will look at the proposed zero carbon new homes definition and update delegates on progress in this area.
