HOUSEBUILDER AWARDS 2025
Bellway was crowned Large Housebuilder of the Year at The Housebuilder Awards 2025 last night, as the industry united to celebrate the best in the UK new homes sector.
Bellway, Britain’s sixth biggest housebuilder according to the latest Housing Market Intelligence Report, impressed across five categories. It was winner of both the Best sustainability initiative award for its Builds homes of the future today programme, and the Best design for four storeys or more award for Fielders Quarter West Circus, Barking.
It was a finalist in three categories – Best regeneration initiative for St George’s Park, Hornchurch, Best design for three storeys or fewer for Springstead Village, Cambridge and Charlotte Benson, Bellway’s trainee quantity surveyor, featured as a Housebuilder Star finalist.
The Housebuilder Awards host was Rylan. The event was attended by 750 guests at The InterContinental London - The O2.
Housing association Peabody was hailed Medium housebuilder of the year. It scooped the Best marketing initiative award for The Lumiere Edition, New Mansion Square, Battersea. And its Morpeth Road, Hackney scheme was joint winner in the Best design for three storeys or fewer category.
Peabody shared this award with Barratt Redrow, the latter being awarded for Stanneylands in Wilmslow.
The Small housebuilder of the year award went to Spitfire Homes. The West-Midlands based SME was highly commended in the Marketing category for its Gold Card initiative. It was also a finalist in the Best design – three storeys category for Ellenbrook, Moreton-In-Marsh.
Julie Baker, Keepmoat’s social value manager, was declared Housebuilder Star. Baker, who joined the housebuilder more than 14 years ago, was celebrated for helping change the way the whole sector approaches and measures social value.
Barratt Redrow’s Steven Boyes was handed a Lifetime Achievement award for his near 50 years of service at the housebuilder.
Muse and Strata were joint winners of the Best regeneration initiative award for Hale Wharf, Tottenham and East Wharf respectively.
City & Country landed the Best refurbishment project award for The 1840, St George’s Gardens, London.
Orbit Homes was triumphant in the Best customer satisfaction initiative category for A journey to excellence.
Latimer and St George’s Crypt were winners of the Best community initiative award for The Kirkstall Road Project, tackling homelessness in Leeds.
Lovell’s Psychological safety on London sites initiative earned it a win in the Best staff development category.
Populo Living for London Borough of Newham took the Best retirement scheme award for Noele Gordon House, Newham.
RS Bonds Surety was Subcontractor/services provider of the year. And Ebac swiped the Product of the year award for its Loft mount air source heat pump.
