The product is a user friendly and unobtrusive fire escape ladder. The simple to operate system is installed outside a dedicated upper floor fire escape window and from the ground floor looks exactly like a normal drainpipe. In the event of a fire which prevents the use of ground floor escape routes, the occupant simply opens the window and removes the cap from the fire escape. Gravity then takes over and the ladder opens at 90 degrees to the property, giving a stable and easy to use escape route.
