New Gyproc Soundcoat Plus from British Gypsum is the perfect thermal underwear for any masonry building. A new formulation of the original quick-setting 'parge' coat Gyproc SoundCoat, Soundcoat Plus seals air paths and cracks on all blockwork walls, now including aircrete blocks.
Buildings can lose up to 24% of their heat through cavity walls. Parging masonry walls, prior to drylining, is commonly used to improve thermal performance by limiting the amount of air that can leak in to the cavity; through cracks, unfilled joints and block porosity. Quick and easy to apply by hand or spray, Gyproc Soundcoat Plus is a dry powder product which is simply mixed with clean water on site and then applied with a 'rough' finish, without the need for significant training or specialist skills.
