As the levels increase for the Code for Sustainable Homes, rainwater harvesting (RWH) is starting to become prerequisite for new builds; to help achieve Level 6 (set to begin in 2016), 30% of the required water for a home could be provided by rainwater harvesting systems.
The Nu-Heat RWH system incorporates the latest technology and is easy to install and maintain. It has been developed to provide the homeowner with a 'fit-and-forget' system, ensuring an automatic supply of harvested rainwater.
Nu-Heat has opted for below-ground tanks, available in two sizes - 3500L and 5000L, that have the advantage of being unaffected by temperature extremes. The tanks, made of durable plastic, have a flat, two cylinder design that requires less excavation than other products.
This also means that they can be used in areas with a higher water table, giving flexibility of siting.
