NORBORD LANDS MAJOR FLOORING CONTRACT FOR FREEDOM HOMES

Norbord is supplying around 20,000 of its P5 Caberfloor tongue-and-groove flooring panels for installation in one of Scotland's biggest house-building schemes.

Freedom Homes, a joint venture between two leading Scottish developers, Ogilvie Homes and Stewart Milne Homes, will see a total of 559 new properties created across four individual sites in the Central belt. This order is for one of those sites, The High School in Stirling. Located on the former site of the Stirling High School, which moved to new-build premises in 2008, this new development comprises a mix of contemporary two bed apartments, four and five bed detached villas and four bed townhouses.

All the suspended timber floors in the development are constructed using Norbord's 22mm Caberfloor panels. Stable, durable and easy to lay, Caberfloor P5 is a high-strength moisture resistant wood particleboard engineered for all domestic and most other floors. In 18mm and 22mm thicknesses, Caberfloor P5 is the UK's most widely used particleboard flooring panel.
