Working with the social housing provider A2Dominion, the Concrete Centre has produced a model housing specification for simple, affordable and robust masonry housing, which meets the anticipated 2016 zero carbon requirements.
This four page document highlights the performance challenges considered by the design team and summarises the decisions taken in respect of the fabric and services.
The specific effect of masonry construction on year-round performance is also considered in terms of CO2 emissions and internal temperature.
