ACTIS Insulation, the manufacturer of leading multifoil insulation products, has received certification from the British Board of Agrement for its HCONTROL REFLEX+ product. The innovation is a three-in-one solution consisting of a reflective vapour control layer and an airtight barrier which also acts as supplementary insulation - triple purpose qualities made possible thanks to reflective multifoils which benefit from one of the best emissivities on the market. HCONTROL REFLEX+ is thinner than other more complex multifoils for a similar thermal performance and is a water vapour resistant material which is installed between the insulation and the internal lining. As a vapour control layer, it prevents water vapour diffusion through the fabric of the building which may cause condensation and protects the insulation which may be sensitive to moisture. It is also completely airtight, acting as a barrier against air leakage, stopping warm air escaping from the building and thus preventing heat loss through convection, saving both energy and money.
