HBF Planning Conference
In the morning, the conference will concentrate on gaining information from key industry figures on the Planning White Paper and the PPS supplement, as well as looking at climate change. Addressing climate change is obviously at the forefront of planning new developments - how is the industry responding? A case study will address the challenges and solutions to this pervasive issue.
The Building for Life scheme will provide the focus of the afternoon. The standards have been used as a benchmark for quality assessment for the past 5 years but how many planners either know or understand how they are assessed? Real life examples of projects will be used to allow delegates to place themselves in the role of the assessor and discusss the BfL approach to quantifying good design.
