Bellway completed 4,577 homes in the half year ending January 31 2025, 11.9% higher than the prior year according to its interim results released today. Revenue reached £1,429.4 million, 12.3% up on last year, with profit before tax up 11.9% to £150.2 million.
Looking ahead the firm says consumer confidence and demand are improving, and has seen an encouraging start to the Spring selling season. “While challenges remain, planning delays are beginning to ease, providing a supportive backdrop to increase volume output,” the firm says.
Bellway says it remains on track to deliver full year volume output of at least 8,500 homes (July 31 2024 – 7,654 homes) with output weighted towards the first half.
Jason Honeyman, group chief executive, said: “Bellway has delivered a strong first half performance with good growth in volume output and profits. Underlying demand for our homes is healthy and we have been encouraged by the improvement in customer enquiries and reservations since the start of the new calendar year.
