William Burton

William Burton took over as an interim Chief Executive of CITB, the Industry Training Board responsible for the UK construction industry, in May 2013.

William's background spans both the public and private sectors. His most recent previous positions include Group CEO roles for Page & Moy Travel Group and the Travel Acquisition Company. In addition, he has acted as Chief Operating Officer for government agencies such as the British Library and The Rural Payments Agency.

Prior to this, William held senior sales and marketing roles in the commercial sector including British Airways Plc, Thomson Holidays and Thistle Hotels and started his career in engineering and construction project management at Rolls-Royce Aero Division and Shell International Oil Company.
