Nicky Linihan

Nicky has a degree in Town and Country Planning, a Diploma in Management Studies and is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
She has been involved in the planning, transport and economic development fields for over 27 years, working for a number of local authorities as well as private practice, predominantly in the Thames Valley.  She is currently involved in a number of projects, including chairing the Local Housing Requirement Assessment Working Group which is supported by a number of organisations across the public and private sector.
Her extensive experience covers a range of areas including Development Management, Masterplanning, Major Site Project management, Planning Policy (from local through to the national level), Transport Policy (she was lead officer on the development of the Thames Valley's Transport Strategy to support the South East Plan), Economic Development and partnership working.  Most recently she was Head of Planning and Transport at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and is now Director of NJL-Solutions Ltd. She has been a Planning Advisory Service Spatial Planning Peer and is the Planning Officers' Society Topic Convenor for Housing, Regeneration and Economic Development.
