Michael Black

Michael Black is currently the Chair of the HBF Sustainability Group, a group of member company sustainability experts and individuals working on key aspects of legislation and policy related to sustainability.  He also chairs the HBF Major's Sub-Group consisting of the top Housebuilder's representatives looking at wider policy issues facing the Industry.

As Group Development Director for Bovis Homes, Michael's responsibility span's the planning, technical, regulatory commercial, procurement, sustainability, environmental, health and safety disciplines for the Bovis Homes Group and he has worked on major Zero Carbon Hub Groups, including Carbon Compliance and the Zero Carbon timeline.

He is also a member of the CLG Code Advisory Group, as well as leading industry discussions with BRE on Code implementation and process since its introduction.
