Gillian Brewin

Gillian started her working life in careers guidance, firstly working with schools and later moving on to advise graduates, becoming Head of the Career Development Centre at the University of Derby.    She moved into skills policy work,  first at the Sector Skills Development Agency, and then moving on to the Commission for Employment and Skills, a body set up to lead the debate with industry to drive better outcomes for skills, jobs and growth.

Gillian now works for the Construction Industry Training Board developing partnerships with business, government, federations and other organisations to support the construction industry to get the skills it needs both now and in the future.
