Adam Dodgshon

Adam is a Principal Consultant at the Planning Advisory Service, where he has worked for 5 years. Adam heads up the PAS Direct Support programme, delivering tailored support to local authorities to assist them in their plan making. He has also worked closely with DCLG and PINS on a number of advice notes and visits, and was part of the '€˜Helpline' that launched the NPPF in March 2012.

Prior to this, he worked at DCLG, producing the 2008 Town and Country Planning Regulations, and working with the team on PPS12. He was also responsible for developing the Plan Making Manual, written by DCLG and hosted on the PAS website.

Adam has also worked for Government Office for the East of England, in the Growth Areas team. Here, he was responsible for securing over £15 million of funding for projects in Cambridgeshire. Prior to being a civil servant, he worked in the local authorities of Stevenage and Wandsworth, having started his career in 1994 in Gedling (in Nottinghamshire). He holds an MA in Environmental Planning from the University of Nottingham and has been a member of the RTPI since 1994.
