The industry’s increasing awareness of sustainability is reflected in the rapid growth in take-up of the EcoHomes assessment scheme for rating new homes’ energy performance. The NHBC reports that the number of developers signing up to the Building Research Establishment’s (BRE) initiative has almost trebled in the past three months.
