Richard A Jones FRICS
Richard A Jones is Head of Residential & Regeneration at EC Harris where he has been a Partner since 1994. Richard has built a strong reputation as a leader in housing-led Regeneration acting for both the public and private sector.
He has developed influential board level relationships with a range of regeneration organisations such as the Housing Corporation, Taylor Wimpey, Bellway City Solutions, Countryside Properties and London and Quadrant.
Richard has been instrumental in the creation of some of the UK’s most innovative regeneration delivery models, including the Edmonton Green Town Centre Regeneration, 5 Links Estate Renewal and Fusion 21, a procurement model built to create sustainable communities and promoted by the Housing Corporation as an exemplar regeneration model.
He has been invited to contribute his expert opinion on residential and regeneration topics for Building, Regeneration and Renewal, Housebuilder and Inside Housing.
Richard has spoken in an expert capacity at a number of the industry’s leading keynote events, including the HMI Annual Conference, BURA annual and regional events and the Chartered Institute of Housing Conference. He has been appointed as an expert assessor for the Housing Corporations Innovation in Procurement Gold award and led the original "kickstart" initiative developing the alternative MMC products.
Richard has been deeply involved in creating the delivery structures around some of the most successful decent homes programmes, including the Chelmer Housing Regeneration Partnership which won a Constructing Excellence Award for its innovative approach.
He is a member of the Housing Forum, BURA, and has sat on the Shadow Board for the Southend Housing Partnership.
Richard is an expert on partnering and is currently creating leading edge solutions around the public private partnership models.
