Richard joined Hometrack in 2005 as Director of Research and is a leading housing market commentator who appears frequently in the national media. He publishes regular reports on the market and oversees the development and design of Hometrack’s information based products and services. Before joining Hometrack Richard was a Director at Savills where built up a significant research-led housing consultancy business.

With over 15 years of housing consultancy experience, Richard joined Hometrack to leverage the large quantity of data and information held by business. He oversees the development of specific information based products and services and is currently steering the development a report for developers to inform land acquisition decisions and a system to help developers segment the demand for new housing schemes.

Richard writes regular reports on the market and carries out occasional large consultancy projects as well as providing advice to a number of major corporates and public sector bodies. Currently Richard is advising on two major development schemes where pricing to achieve sales volumes is critical to the business plan. He is also carrying out a strategy review for a £2bn residential portfolio.

Over the last decade he has developed his reputation as an industry leading housing market commentator who appears regularly in the broadcast and printed media.  He writes regular articles for the press and features frequently in the broadsheets.
